Anne Carson
Anne Carson is an acclaimed Canadian poet, essayist, and translator. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, MacArthur Fellowship, and a Lannan Literary Award.Other accolades include a Pushcart Prize, T.S. Eliot Prize, and a PEN Award for Poetry in Translation to name a few.

Howl: What is your writing process like?
Carson: Write all the time when not having to do anything else.
Howl: How do you edit your work?
Carson: Edit ferociously and with joy, it is very fun to delete stuff.
Howl: What advice do you have for budding writers?
Carson: Set yourself a problem which, in addressing it, will lead you to problems you didn't set and couldn't have dreamed up.
