Howl: How would you describe your writing and editing process?
Tate: Write most days, edit in head before putting something on the page. Howl: You use poetry as a beautiful means of expression, such as in your poem "The Lost Pilot" about your father. Why do you feel poetry is the creative medium of choice best suited to you? Tate: Nothing else is like poetry. Howl: What advice do you have for budding poets? Tate: Read living and dead poets, every day, until you find the ones you want to be with you for the rest of your life. |
